You say Goodbye... I say Hello!!!

So as I'm sure you've noticed... it's been a little while since I posted something on here. I dont know, it's not that I havent had things to write about or anything like that, it's just that the desire to do so wasnt there for A WHILE... but have no fear, I've refocused my blogosphere and will now be presenting to you Choices, Voices and Sole. Please go check it out when you get a chance, tell your friends, your enemies, whomever... It'll be all about shoes, relationships, and politics... what's better than that right?

In the meantime, I did want to do one final post here (at least its final for awhile, I'm sure at some point, I will pick back up here... Destined 2 BE is my baby!). And it's all about looking to the future. Recently, there have been a lot of things going on that have led me to a future type of mentality. The first thing is I got a new job!!!! (who's excited!? *Darby raises hand*) And since I got the new job, it's had me on this whole introspective kick of new journeys... you know, where am I going? What do I really want out of life?

Honestly, I'd been thinking that way for awhile. A couple months ago, probably around my birthday (you know how getting older makes you think lol), I started really sitting down and asking myself what I really wanted. Did I really want to be in magazines? Cuz if I did, I'd be in NY sucking up the $25,000 job and part time job on the side to live in a card board box in Brooklyn thing, right? So this is what I decided... I really wanted to focus on journalism in some form of government type of way... I mean, it is why I went to graduate school for American Government in the first place.

Next, I really wanted to get serious about my books. I have four that I've been working on since forever it seems like... 2 detailed outlines, 1 book that has 6 out of 13 chapters written and 1 book that has 3 out of 10 chapters written... you can see how I need to get serious, right? lol Lastly, I realized that even when I did get a job, I still wanted to do something with kids... because I've come to realize working at the Teen Program, how important it is for them to have consistent people in their lives who challenge them... and honestly it's so rewarding!! (if only it payed just a little bit more)

I also realized some things about relationships... friend and otherwise, personal and thru other friend's trials, but thats for the other blog... you'll just have to go on over there to check it out... lol (yeah, I'm plugging).

But the crazy thing is, once I knew what I wanted for real, God gave it to me. I know it sounds so simple, but it was mind boggling to me! So anyway, with all this new stuff going on, I knew it was time to do a new blog as well. Something that had direction and focus and something I knew I could write about all day long if needed. Shoes, relationships, and politics!... I got that ALL DAY!!!

So please take the time to check it out... trust, I will be MUCH more consistent there and I promise at least once a week, you'll find something there that you can either debate about, laugh about, or go purchase... hopefully more than once as I will be posting at least 3 or 4 times a week, but you know maybe you dont like me as much and you only want to come once a week. Thats fine. You'll still find something you like :)
